Milkfish on DD-WRT

Step by Stem installation for Milkfish on Linksys WRT 54GL
NOTE
ONLY DESCRIBES THE MILKFISH INSTALLATION BELOW
YOU NEED TO CONFIGURE THE ROUTER FOR WAN / WIFI / LAN ETC.
Pre-Requsits
1. Linksys WRT 54GL (may work with any DD-WRT Compatible Router)
2. dyndns account
3. Register in Milkfish Forum
Download the DD-WRT Firmwares :-
Mini Generic (Base Firmware)
VoIP Generic (Milkfish firmware)
VPN Generic (VPN Firmware - Only if you need to access SIP from out side (WAN))
Step :1
Connect to
the Linksys Wrt54gl. for e.g. http://192.168.1.1
Browse --> the Mini Generic Firmware & Upgrade
Re-Connect after reboot
Step :2

Go to the firmware upgrade below Administration and upgrade to "VOIP Generic" firmware which downloaded.
Re-Connect after Reboot
Step :3
Go to the services --> Miskfish SIP Router and settings as follows
Main Switch : Enable
From-Substitution : Enable
From-Domain : "your dyndns name"
Milkfish Username : "your milkfish forum username"
Milkfish Password : "your milkfish forum password"

then SIP Databases
Click on Local Subscribers : Add as many SIP ID's you want

Save & Apply Settings
SIP Phone Settings :-
Proxy : "your dyndns name"
Use Outbound Proxy : Yes
Outbound Proxy : for eg. 192.168.1.1
User ID : for eg: 101
Password : for eg: 101
Note :
If your are using the SIP over the internet you need to use a VPN client. (Upgrade the VPN Generic firmware to the dd-wrt VOIP)
